Chocolate Fudge Brownies

Oh chocolate, the love of our lives. What better way to celebrate the start of the weekend than with a Chocolate Fudge? These are fairly easy and fast to make, which is perfect if you don't want to spend to much time in the kitchen.

This recipe makes about 20 bites, if you don't want so many, simply add half of the entire recipe.

Ingredients:
  • 125 g butter
  • 2 ½ dl sugar
  • 1 dl cocoa powder
  • a pinch of salt
  • 2 tsp vanilla sugar
  • 2 egg
  • 1 ½ dl flour
  • some seasalt for garnishing
Chocolate trufffle
  • 1 ½ dl cream
  • 200 g dark chocolate (70%)
  • ½ tsp butter

How to:
  1. Preheat the oven to 175°
  2. Let's start with the chocolate truffle. Heat a saucepan over medium heat. Put the cream in the saucepan and bring to a light boil. When it starts to boil liglhty, turn the heat off and add the chocolate and butter into the saucepan and let it melt in the hot cream. Stir occationally.
  3. Pour the chocolate truffle into a bowl and put it in the fridge. The mix should cool in the fridge for about an hour. Just make sure that you check it and stir it maybe 2-3 times under that hour.
  4. Now the fudge. Melt the butter in a saucepan. When melted, add sugar, cocoa powder, salt, vanilla sugar and egg. Stir until completely blended. Then add the flour and stir until combined with the mix.
  5. Check on your truffle in the fridge and stir it
  6. But a bakingsheet in a square form (about 18x25 cm), or just pick something from the cabinet that has a little depht and you'll be fine. Just remember to rub some melted butter/oil on your form or use a baking sheet between the mix and form so that the fudge doesn't stick. Pour in the mix and bake in oven for about 20-25 min.
  7. Take the fudge out of the oven and let it cool - almost completely - in the form.
  8. Check once more on your truffle and stir it. (It shouldn't be completely set. If it is very hard just take it out of the fridge so that it can soften up before you spread it on the fudge).
  9. Take the truffle out of the fridge and spread it over the fudge. Cut the fudge into squares and season with seasalt.
  10. Eat and enjoy the deliciousness! Good tip: have a cold glass of milk to drink while eating the fudge *drooling*
